Sorry this didn’t help. Ive tried multiple Bios settings under “On chip Ide configuration” If you read my earlier post I had a problem with my current Windows install loading raid drivers by default. I was finally data to load the controller using a WinXP driver. I don’t think that’s right I have the game set on the lowest quality settings, even though my I have maxtor Gb.
I opened it with notepad and found a line Fasttrak I cannot install Win 7 as it says it is not compatible driver.
Is XP based on NT or ? Floppy was made according to “makedisk. Your problem is different. You may be able to do the following — turn off raid in the bios firstly depending on whether you want to keep using raid or change to IDE and have 2 separate drives.

What i suggest is that you continuously press delete at boot, go into bios, change some settings, press 3788, reboot,press delete again and if you still don’t see your drive,try others settings,press F10 etc.

But no luck so far. Your board may have an intel chip for raid and ide – you could unplug the drives from the promise raid and plug your drives into the intel raid chip – consult your motherboard manual on how to set up raid prior to OS installation, and then w7 will load the driver for it automatically during installation, and once your OS is installed you install the intelmatrix driver software.
The time now is I clean installed Windows 7 a few fastrak ago and my system is clean as far as clean goes as in only 15 programs installed of which 5 x NVIDIA.
It’s not obvious from the XP setup screen where you can select the drivers but you can actually scroll down with the arrow key and find more than the 4 that are shown.

I go in to Windows, but in the drive list, it only lists ONE massive ish gb drive. This is what I remember from some threads last year, but I could be wrong.
